21c+ 9 days in a row..
......But doesnt look like we'll get a tenth, judging by the forecast
synoptics for the next few days.
Anyway, this is the best May run since 1998. Unfortunately, we all know how
THAT summer turned out, and this summer does end in an 8 as well. Totally
unscientific I know..
Another thing that concerns me is there is still a lot of northern blocking,
so is summer about to go 'mammatus verticus' in a similar manner to 1998 and
last year? Or will high pressure reassert itself within a fortnight to give
us at least a good start to June?
