Default Record highest UK minimum?

Min last night in York hovered between 21 and 22 - warmest night I can
recall some time. Temp fell in rain after dawn. Interesting Temp graph on
York Uni site ... temp *rising* in early hours of morning from 21 to just
over 22C.

Minimum last night of 20C, that was at 7.30 this morning after the rain
started. Before then it was 22C, that maybe counted in some quarters as

the
minimum.

news Driving back from Crowthorne to Essex (M25 S.Side) between 22.30

Thought this
unlikely but showed 24C at home which calibrated well with 23.6C
on usually
accurate Oregon. Prompted me to think what is the highest temp
recorded as a
UK minimum?

23.9ºC at Brighton on 4th August 1990. (Last year's highest
was 23.7ºC at Guernsey airport on 5th August 2003, but of
course that is not the United Kingdom).
