I was in NW USA/SW Canada in May/June 2003. The weather was remarkably
similar to here - some nice warm days (I remember sitting on English
Beach in Vancouver!) but the terrain obviously meant that there was some
significant variation with altitude. It was quite wet when we were on
Vancouver Island - reminded me of the west of Wales or Scotland :-) No
skiing at Whistler when I was there though.
