Unusual aeroplane behaviour (both planes were travelling west to east).

Around 0930, spaced out by about three mins. The first plain came over below
the cloud base, (hight unknown) and then climbed away in to the cloud. Second
one came over about the same hight, and then turned as if to head for Manston.
Is this weather related, Or is there some other problem in the area? Normally
plains of that size are well above the clouds. Engines sounded okay.

We had a light shower 0530 and a few spots of rain 0930.
