Hi Dave,

yeah I'm measuring a particularly wet month here too, in Sturry, Near
Canterbury, Kent.
The nearest local average rainfall for May I could find is 45mm, and so
far this month I have measured 151mm!! 140mm of which has fallen in the
last 5 days.

January is my next highest monthly total, with 101mm recorded.

Cheers,

-Ben

Shouldn't be a drought problem this year. After a couple of dry winters
and summers the water table now appears higher than for a long time. This
rain has sunk in with it being the moderate and constant type. 3mm so far
today making 72mm in the last four days. That is more than any monthly
amount in the last three years barring October 05 (93) Sep 06(76) and
Feb 07(86). Monthly total to date 86mm.
