Default T/S Arthur ... first named storm of 2008 'season'

T/S "Arthur" has actually formed a day before the opening
of the North Atlantic hurricane season, Martin, which starts
tomorrow, the 1st of June. It's the East Pacific area that
commences it's hurricane season on the 15th of May.
Both regions seasons terminate on the 30th of November.


.... sorry, I should have made it clearer: the 'season' for warnings
for both the Atlantic *and* NE Pacific used by the Met Office for the
issue of warnings starts on the 15th May. Not necessarily the same
dates as used by other services ... see he-
