The more I tried to comfort him the worse he got. I took him out for a
walk not long before he clocked and we passed a firework display run
by the local fire brigade and he never even noticed.

If I'd just chucked it out in the rain, he'd have enjoyed all those
summers a lot more.

Didn't work for the wife though.
Still...

Well it got rid of her for an hour or two.
