I'm getting much better at the latter! I don't quite see why you
changed the thread title again, Jim.
Jim didn't change the subject; the sequence is unbroken from Michael's
original change.

Heh! Maybe you see it differently! Your own post changed it again!
"Discussion subject changed to "The Dawlish book of quotes thread." by
Graham P Davis" - quote from what sits above your post, on my PC at
least! I don't think you meant to change the title for a minute,
Graham. Jim changed it back to what it had been (warm and settled at
10 days) - and said so - so I'm not sure what you mean by your comment
about it remaining the same since somone decided it's really good fun
to change it. Maybe you'd like to change it back too! I'm sure it's
just a quirk of usenet.
Back on topic......12z shows lovely settled weather, right into the
middle of June. If it verifies, it scotches all notions of this summer
being a repeat of 2007, because 2007 had already descended into the
wet depths by the end of the first third of June and it adds some
early weight to the possibility of the Met Office's forecast being
correct - or being exceeded, in terms of heat and dryness - but who
knows on that one?
I'll extend my forecast to dry and settled, for much of the UK, to the
14th after the last 2 days' ouput.
