I'll extend my forecast to dry and settled, for much of the UK, to the
14th after the last 2 days' ouput.
Paul
I had my first swim in the sea (without wetsuit) of the year on the 8th of
June last year, on a lovely, hot and humid Sunday afternoon. Then things
went downhill and I didn't swim in the sea again until early August. Though
after that I made up for it, especially towards the end of August and into
September.
I had a brief swim this year, without wetsuit on the 11th May, which ranks
as very early but it was a tad on the cool side. I am still awaiting a
'proper' swim. The SST needs to warm up just a bit more, hopefully your
forecast will come true!!!
In 2005 & 2006 I was swimming nearly daily in the sea from mid-June through
to the end of September. Even though 2006 was a hotter summer, the sea felt
much warmer in 2005. I don't have any SST figures to back that up.
Let's drink to a good 'un.
