Until the last day or so, it was only the GFS progging the upcoming
(hopefully! it's not here yet, and til it is.... ) fine spell. Indeed, the
ECM painted a very different (and awful summer synoptics) picture with the
MO somewhere in between.
Now there is much better agreement on a big improvement in the next few
days, Will has put his neck on the block. Fair enough, I'd have done the
same.

The reason (if I am right in saying.. Paul correct me if I'm wrong) that
Dawlish called it earlier, is that he uses the GFS at 240h. In this case it
was out on its own for a while.
