A few fine days

Dave, why don't you move to the Med, or California, or somewhere that
doesn't have our climate? I'm sure you'd be a lot happier. The UK
simply does not provide the weather you seem to permanently need -
which means that you are unhappy with what you get most of the time.

I didn't mind the rant and I know what Dave means. North-easters at
most times of the year, other than sometimes in the depths of winter,
used to brass me off when I lived in NE England, although they're not
too bad now I'm in Essex.
But I still loathe that NW airstream you get in summer when, after a
lovely sunrise, the cloud quickly builds-up inland and spreads-out,
with nothing further happening until dusk, when convection ceases, it
all dissipates and you get a clear, starry night. A total waste of a
good summer's day, IMHO, there's nothing good about it and I can't
wait for the airstream to change.
That doesn't mean I don't like the UK climate or I want to up sticks
and go somewhere else. It just means I don't look forward to a
forecast (or perhaps even a hint) of that type of weather.
Nothing wrong with the weather here today, though - glorious in
everyones' book, I would hope.
- Tom.
