Same here in Leeds Richard. Same torrential downpours. Local roads flooded.
Drove up from London yesterday after hols in Italy and what a welcome home.
London was dry at 3pm, taxi driver said they had had no rain. Most of
journey on M1 north was in torrential rain, and here in Leeds it's not
stopped since I arrived back. This really is prolonged and very heavy rain.
Strange and disappointing - no thunder.
