The Met Office site now has warnings for South-West Scotland,
South-East Scotland, and various other areas including 'Eastern
Counties', whatever that means. Today's forecast on the same site for
North-East Scotland is mainly dry and bright, with increasing risk of
rain later tonight, so I have to assume that 'Eastern Counties' is
misleading and doesn't in fact include all eastern counties in
Britain.
The areas are defined on the MetO website at
http://www.meto.gov.uk/weather/europe/uk/uk.html
'Eastern Counties' is/are well to the south of Scotland.
I'm not sure of the logic but I see that Oxford, Witney and Abingdon are
in SE England but Eastbourne, Hastings and Rye are not.
