The rain has stopped and the river has gone down well leaving a wavy trail
of small twigs and logs all the way down the bank marking the high point. I
reckon we were about another half inch of rain away from flooding at the
bend and with the rate it was travelling it would have swamped us!

Thunder has been rumbling away all day and still is. I will be intesested to
get the SEPA readings from my tipping rain bucket at the end of the month.
