I desperately need sunshine and settled weather for the 14th/15th July!

I want something settled for this weekend at the Lowender Festival near
Bodmin but it looks like it could be a wash-out which is a shame.

PS I didn't see your June summary on the local telly! Did I miss it?

David hasn't emailed me so I'm presuming he hasn't done his monthly
summary yet or he has used somebody else's data. He normally puts the
summary together on the 2nd or 3rd so maybe it will be tomorrow.

Stopped raining here, just enough to damp the dust. Bah!

Just got back from the frozen north camping Nick. Been near Hadrians wall
one mile from Haltwhistle near the Twice Brewed pub circa 800 feet up,
temperature was 9C when we arrived and 6C higher up at 1900 feet on the
A686. First night (week last Saturday) it was blowing a force 6 with a
thunderstorm overnight and the camp pond overflowed and we got a tad wet.
Temperature never got above 15C all week, I felt quite at home :-) Still we
had some good walking in the north Pennines and a trip to Durham cathedral
to see my daughter graduate from Univ. (A proud moment for any father). Very
impressed with the huge 4 metres high snow poles on the road to Great Dun
Fell radar station.

Steady rain this evening, heavy in bursts, up to 14 mm/h, 4.0 mm total so
far. Garden is wet and veg etc are growing OK, always no problems up here.
Max. today a tolerable 19.3C.

June rainfall was 69 mm (AWS). A bit below the average of 95mm.
