You know what I fear Alastair. That UK climate means out, i.e. summers
become cooler and winters become warmer and rain is evenly distributed
throughout the year. Hope I'm wrong (I often am!).
Surely the latter part, rain being evenly distributed throughout the
year, has traditionally been fairly true, at least in eastern areas,
where every months typically has a mean between 50mm and 75mm. There may
be a slight tendency for an autumn max and a spring min, but it's not
very pronounced. (Of course, summer rain tends to be less prolonged than
winter rain, but heavier so that mean totals are similar.)
