Dewpoint 16.5C, air temperature currently 19.8C following a few bursts
of sunshine when it reached 20.2C. Light wind so feeling very, very
muggy, a warm night ahead. Ideal conditions for raising the SST
though.
On the subject of warm nights, I believe the highest minimum
temperature ever recorded in Cornwall was at St Mawgan in August 2003
(23C) - Unless someone knows better!
Just looked out - bursts of sunshine again. Often the case near sea
level in SE facing Penzance under these conditions, nice hole in the
low crowd just over the seafront.
