Default Rain event Friday 20Z

Some heavy showers here in Coulsdon Phil late afternoon/ early evening.
Escaped most of the earlier afternoon showers. A total of 4.6mm fell. This
though would be earlier than you mention though being in the time span
17.00 to 19.00 hrs.
The previous day 12th there was a very active thunderstorm to the west of me
14.00hrs which produced much flooding in the Dorking area- anyone any
rainfall totals for this locality. I recorded just 1.1mm.

I was rather surprised after we had been out on Friday, that 4mm fell
between 19 & 20Z.
Looking at the N17 Sat images for the 13th at 21Z there is a band of

cloud
across the SE.
Waghorn, I believe posted about some heavy Ra in in SE London.
Indeed while, we were going out, there was a shower, but things looked as
though they were dying down...seems to mystify me a bit..

Water Butt is full which suggests it wasnt the next door neighbours
sprinkler!

Martin/John any obs ?

In Cranleigh, I heard rain after going to bed on Friday evening,
possibly around 2200Z. (I _think_ it was Friday, anyway, as I remember
being surprised by it.) I didn't notice any rain earlier in the evening.
