I was rather surprised after we had been out on Friday, that 4mm fell
between 19 & 20Z.
Looking at the N17 Sat images for the 13th at 21Z there is a band of cloud
across the SE.
Waghorn, I believe posted about some heavy Ra in in SE London.
Indeed while, we were going out, there was a shower, but things looked as
though they were dying down...seems to mystify me a bit..
Water Butt is full which suggests it wasnt the next door neighbours
sprinkler!
Martin/John any obs ?

Late post for 13 August 2004.
1400 to 1900 - heavy rain showers deposited 23 mm. Of that, 14.4 mm fell
between 1500 and 1530. This from a thunderstorm passing from west to east.
Together with today's 0.6 mm from a rain shower at 1115, the monthly total
so far now stands at 81.8 mm. This is already my second highest total since
I began collecting data at this site in 1995. My highest August total of
117 mm was in 2001.
My driest August was in 1998 at 6.2 mm.
