First time mankind has ever recorded an iceshelf breakup in winter.

Here is the most recent 30day surface temperature anomaly animation
(in 1 day increments) for the whole world.. But focus on the
antarctica.. It's quite shocking.

It seams that the current El-nino event has shifted much of the
earth's warming towards Antarctica.

It's possible he mispoke, but you can get your El Nino / La Nina / ENSO
