RMK: Lanes are in full winter mode already ... deep mud,
extensive pools, and water running off the neighbouring
fields. There's standing water in the fields too, and the wheat
hasn't been harvested yet. (Can't think why he didn't take
advantage of the dry week towards the end of August)

Today should see the move from one spell to the next. Sadly the next
spell is very similar.
We had the council mowing our grass midweek. There has been a pool of
water in it since last winter, and this in a site a few yards from a
huge hedge.
Now the lawn is flooded and looks set to remain that way for the rest
of the season, Maybe June 2010 we will get a break for a week or
three?
Not joking, winter looks to be full of flash floods and Cb. see for
yourself:

I hope I am wrong, a lot of amelioration takes place with the other
geophysical stuff. OTOH Hanna is on her way.
So more scattering than ploughing our fields for the forseeable.
Even when the darkest clouds are in the sky you mustn't sigh and you
mustn't cry. Spread a little happiness as you go by.
What's the use of worrying and feeling blue? When days are long keep
on smiling through and spread a little happiness till dreams come
true.
Or not, as the case may be.
At least we won't be hit by forest fires. Anyone know when that season
ends in California?
