Default [WR] 1625Z RE-RA West Moors,E Dorset

... moderate shower of rain 1240-1320Z, then slight, then ceased,
but just heard one (distant) rumble of thunder. TCU/CB all
around - darkest bases to E/ENE.

... (1425Z): rain now returned - skies actually stratiform type so
obviously some broader-scale lifting going on rather than
individual Cu/Cb. Still thundering - odd rumble every minute or
so - no CG seen (good vis), and to judge by sound (rolling
thunder), probably CC activity only.

... (1515Z): no thunder heard for at least 15 mins, but raining
steadily (slight, ocnl moderate) from BKN SC/OVC AS - a decidedly
'frontal' (dynamic forcing) look to the sky rather than convective.

.... (1625Z): rain gradually petered out after last post - no more
thunder. Been dry for at least 20 mins now with cloud breaking well:
currently 3Ac/7Ci all retreating with 1Cu med visible.

Martin.
