Default (WR) earlier in Newbury, Berkshire - 20th August

Here in the desert of Berkshire as some like to call it, me included, we've
had quite an action-packed day thus far.

First storms passed overhead at 12pm giving an impressive 12mm in no more
than 20 minutes (rain rate of 36mm/hr) As a result, flooded roads, large
puddles, horizontal rain and solitary clap of thunder.

2nd storm passed mainly to n-west of location and produced a mere 2mm but 8+
claps of thunder were heard.

3pm BBC and Met.O radar's/satellites pics showing a lot more possible,
especially south-eastern England later.

Everybody stay safe and take care. (my brother was fishing by lake earlier
with lightning all around him)

Cheers

Tony
