Of the newsgroups that I subscribe to uk.sci weather is quite prolific.
88 messages arrived tonight and perhaps 30 earlier today.
Have you tried searching for the group in the set up procedures for OE -
perhaps you have inadvertently lost your sub or even not paid your fees
to ISP. Or newnews might be wrong or the port changed without you
knowing it. Even free ones seem to require renewal of some sort and do
not tell you.


If you want to set up new with this server it is free (a sender of the
last resort) and no authentication is needed and they carried
uk.sci.weather the last time I used it.
