I been using Google Groups for a year, and it's been fine. I can't
say I've noticed that much spamming in USW, or that any regular
contributers to USW have not been reading my posts. I notice your name
in threads which I, and other Google Group users, have posted.

Using Google Groups is certainly preferable to Demon, and has been for
a long time.

But make sure you don't use your real email address with Google
Groups. I am getting 200 spam emails per day now because I made that
mistake - once!
