this is my gripe about multiple weather sites all posting their own
warnings, it's just duplication. Regarding the MO, clearly they didn't
feel it warranted a warning and they have access to more data than all
of us put together.

UPDATE 10.43. METO CATCHING UP! WEATHER WARNINGS FOR HEAVY SNOW ISSUED
AT 0831 IN NORTHERN IRELAND AND AT 1014 FOR SNOW OVER MUCH OF WALES.

They are playing catch-up today Richard........with all that
technology too. *)) I think the MetO are the best in the world, but
that warnings site is a complete dog's breakfast. NO snow warnings in
England yesterday and the most unusual October snow north of London,
for a long, long time. I know the re-look is under way. I know that
what was said in the Pitt review willl be employed in the re-
structuring, but that MetO warnings site is exactly what I've said it
is, to most people - a complete dog's breakfast. It's not trusted
anything like as well as it should be and events such as yesterday,
added to the myriad warnings of heavy rain that produced very few
severe weather events this summer, only reduce that trust in the
system. Use the many other sites in conjunction with the MetO and make
your own mind up would be my advice. We can...............but how does
an elderly person, or a poorly educated person manage to do that?
I feel you are defending the indefensible - and the site will almost
certainly change over the next 12 months. If it doesn't; it runs the
risk of becoming irrelevant.
