Cold front crossing England tonight already looking lively. Line has
bowed forward in an organised fashion across S wales. AWS readings
from there showing a pressure jump and wind gust to 50 mph.
Can I once again request AWS owners to turn on high resolution
recording and submit interesting reports here or to me. ! am
particularly interested in gusts 25 m/s, marked pressure jumps and
wind veer, esp if damage is reported in the locality. Are of
particular interest tonight is across the SE and into near continent,
thanks,
I don't know about that, but I recorded a record 29mph gust even in my
very sheltered back garden.

Front if anything sputtered out as it moved SE. 78 mph gust recorded
at Wittering as the front went through, reports further south of
higher gusts attributable to the low level jet. Interesting
observation from an AWS in Leicester area of pressure jump associated
with an embedded hailstorm with a little bowing segment,
David
