Default Warlingham snow

Interesting that snow fell to the west, south, and north of London ,whilst
here in the east seemed to have had only rain (not even sleet ),why is that
...? temps were pretty similar over the southeast and presumably the freezing
level was much the same everwhere.experts step up to the plate please ...

Light snow, preceded by light rain, around 2 a.m. this
morning. Barely a covering.

Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey, 556 ft.

Likewise here, Tudor. Roads and pavements white in patches, and the lawn,
but not enough to warrant counting it as a snowcover. Overnight min was
0.4c and the precipitation up to 0900z was 0.4mm.
