Penzance had a max of -1.1°C on both 12 and 13 Jan 1987 with
a min of -9.9°C in between, but again most of Cornwall was
much colder with maxes between -3 and -6°C.

I am absolutely gobsmacked that the temperature went down to -9.9°C in
Penzance. I would never have believed it.

It must have caused a lot of damage to the tender plants in Morrab Garden.
