David Christainsen - Meteorologist

I know that 1 month's temperature readings, in one region, don't
necessarily point to long-term trends in "climate."

But in light of recent Denier posts in this group concerning
unusually cold conditions in various places, I thought this passage
from Christainsen's post was worth noting:

"The NOAA officials also noted that November 2008 was 2.0 degrees
above normal for the contiguous U.S. and that this past month was the
warmest November on record in the western states. Much of that can be
attributed to the large, persistent upper-level ridge of high
pressure which covered the region during most of November."

"Warmest November on record" in the western US, and 2 degrees above
normal for the Lower 48.

Interesting ...

Just so much ado about nothing, really, when the temperature range
for each day in November is between possibly 10 F and 70 F, what makes
the temperature accountants think all locations absolutely must sum to
some "average" to be normal.

The "air" is not tied to the ground, it is not all the same air every
day, climate study has departed from study to wishy-washy pouting over all
numbers not being perfect.

Talk to a geologist to get sane and rational opinions about this.
