Default 50 cm of lying snow any ideas anyone?

I distinctly remember about 15 inches of snow on the ground in February
1991 in Eastbourne. Probably more inland at the same time.

Hello Everyone,

I know this is a strange question , but I saw
someone asking on a weather site, when did Sussex last have 50 cm of

lying
snow. That is 18 inches or thereabouts.
I have a vague idea. Because if they had that amount, us here in S

cambs
would be close. I say January 1982. Does anyone care to challenge that

one.

Gavin.
