This side of the county reached 3.8C in the strong sunshine in my south
facing garden today and no lower than -3.2C last night.
You never know though ,were you in Southend that amazing weekend of Jan
10/11 1987 when 18" of snow fell in Southend with a temp opf -7C or so .I
saw icicles 10 feet long hanging from some roofs !.
I still feel the present very long snow drought in the south of England will
eventually come to an end,I just hope I live long enough to see it !

Oh yes, I remember it very well. There's a bypass as you go towards
Shoeburyness where only one lane was open and the snow was banked 10 to
12 feet high in places, my brother drove while I used the old Super 8
Cine Camera. Gee, those were the days.

I wasn't actually referring to any charts, just looking at the current
satellite animation etc. Temp currently 0.1°C here in Southend-on-Sea.
