Default My driest December at Southend-on-Sea

Incidentally, both Eskdalemuir and Yeovilton passed their August
sunshine total in the last couple of days!

Didn't quite manage to beat August's sunshine but it was close(ish) in the
end. A cloudy day on the 29th and today's mist sort of scuppered things.
Anyway, recorded 112.7 hours of lovely sunshine this month which is a very
respectable 45% of the total possible amount.

Looking back as this year, February, April & June all tied for the highest
proportion of sunshine total possible with 47%, whilst January and not
August had the least with 26%.

Sunshine for 2008 was 1732 hours which is slightly higher than 2007 (1723).
