Far from being dreadful I found my walk today out in the cold, crisp
winter sunshine to be most invigorating. I defy anyone to disagree...

It's beautiful isn't it!
Ate my curry and chips on a bench in the sun today in Exeter and it felt
warm, but with frost on the ground.

I was out this afternoon doing some bird atlas survey work and I found I
had to take my gloves off as my hands were getting overheated which was
slightly surprising. Still quite a bit of snow in areas shaded from the sun
and even in the woods the ground was frozen hard. a very pleasant afternoon
excursion.
