Hum that appears to be only area, based on satellite observations. No
mention of thickness. Sea ice and inch thick is no good for polar bears.

It's interesting looking at the graph. Right up to about 2004/5 all the
lines track reasonably well and the anonmaly bumbles around zero but after
2004/5 things start to diverge and the anonmly starts to trend down.
Summats going on.
