My word, by next Saturday the GFS DT12Z is forecasting a 200+knot westerly
jet along circa 55N extending across the Atlantic and pointing straight at
UK. If this comes off, and it has been predicted by ECMWF too then we are in
for some very lively weather next weekend and beyond. Lot of very cold air
(sub 492 DAM) over Arctic Canada to become entrained too. Watch out Scotland
especially :-)
