Default [WR] Fareham 966 mb!

I haven't been paying much attention to the weather forecasts over the
last day or two so you can imagine my surprise when checking
yesterday's and the overnight rainfall (20mm) when I noted the current
atmospheric pressure - 966 mB.

I record pressure only once a day (unless something interesting is
going on) and this is the lowest I have ever seen at this location (20
years). I suspect that it is not far off the lowest pressure ever
recorded on this part of the South Coast and yet, in the eye of the
depression, winds outside are very light indeed; the moderate to
heavy rain earlier in the night has stopped for now.
