259.4 mm for August - second wettest month in last 40 years at least (Jan
1993 had 270 mm). 80 mm on the 9th was certainly the wettest day in living
memory.

I await the results from my auto-self tipper that i have for the Scottish
enviro agency to see if this total rises.
