Ghee..it must be that pesky global "warming"
Guess that's why it keeps getting colder.

More heavy rain and snow to come: Forecasters predict another washout
next weekend

For many it has been a miserable and wet weekend.

But the weather is expected to get considerably dryer over the next
few days. Until, as luck would have it, the weekend arrives again.

Yesterday heavy rain lashed parts of the country, with the South East
particularly badly affected. Our winter has already qualified as the
coldest in ten years.

Around 20mm of rain fell in parts of London and Kent - a third of a
month's rainfall in just 12 hours.

Fortunately the conditions did not match the previous weekend's
disruption, when 100mph gales left a woman dead and toppled trees and
power lines.

Forecasters had warned motorists to be extra careful on icy roads and
warned of foggy conditions in the mornings.

And yesterday saw heavy rainfall in parts of the UK with snow landing
on hilly areas in the North.

Today however, things are set to be much drier, with cloud and
occasional showers.

Wednesday will see a return of heavy rain in the South, and by Friday,
most parts of the country will be very wet.

After the prolonged rain of the last two weekends, this will lead to
fears of flooding as rain lands on already saturated land and high
rivers.

The UK is not the entire world.
