Default "Pipe-crackingly cold" on Saturday night

Posting as much for the wonderful language of the BBC News 24
forecaster a few mins ago. I didn't catch his name, but
congratulations are surely due for inventing a new (and totally pc)
alternative to the more traditional "Brass Monkeys".

He was getting quite excited about double digit minus temps in the
countryside and some pretty low values in the city centres (-7C in
Manchester and -5C in London).

Having been duly advised, I'd better get cracking on checking the
lagging on my exposed pipes then.

(My brass monkeys are currently covered in the quite significant
remains of Monday's snow, BTW).
