Default Jim Bacon sighting

Or more accurately, hearing. I happened to turn on the radio
yesterday morning, only to hear the DJ talking to Jim Bacon between
songs, Apparently this is a regular feature on Radio 2 between 7:30
and 8am on Saturdays. He's not restricted to talking about the
latest forecast. Yesterday the DJ (who came across as intelligent
and commendably interested in the weather, so it's a pity I can't
remember his name) was asking him how snow depths are measured.

.... Mo Dutta: I've posted this several months back - it demonstrates
that you can be a bit 'blokey' on a radio programme, and get the
message across. Jim does a slot roughly every 3 weeks, with Simon
Calder doing travel at other times. They used to do 'money', but that
was quietly shelved I think :-)

Jim Bacon has long been one of my favourite weather
forecasters/presenters, but it had been ages since I last heard him.
He manages to be enthusiastic without falling into the trap of
sensationalism.

.... agreed.

Martin.
