the messenger.

Still snowing in Northampton

Can't say I'm surprised - we've had 25mm so far and it's still pouring down.
Garden flooding for first time in many years.

Probably the worst for 8 years, Dave. *Drove to the Tube through it
all at around 07.00 - back roads around Brentwood and Chigwell were
all passable, with care, but quite a lot of surface water cascading
down the roads, where I've not seen that amount of surface water
flowing for a long time. *Nothing on the scale of the Nov 2000 flood -
when I covered exactly the same journey with immense difficulty and
had to backtrack and try other ways around it all, several times.

Further to my earlier post, I've just noticed the following:

One or two of the locations are just down the road from me but I
wouldn't like you all to think that my fellow Essexers are all as dim
as one or two would apprear in this press clipping
