Penzance - Even Hotter
Today's max in Exeter 27.9C, a shade down on yesterday but 3rd highest
this year, with a nice NE'ly breeze,

After reaching 26.7 degrees yesterday (making it my hottest September day on
record and the hottest day of the year), it has now reached 27.0! Still
only a light wind in the bay. ENE so offshore, with a bit of a foehn effect
as it comes down off the moors south of Camborne.
It weas 22 degrees at 09:30 (Newquay was 23 degrees at 10:00)
Last night's minimum was 18.1, my warmest September night on record.
27 degrees is unusual here even in mid-summer.
