Default so what to expect???

If you live in a hilly area or in the north then you will see snow next
week. The forecast is for a dramatic change starting on Monday to a spell
of very windy and wet weather, with rain and showers turning increasingly
to snow as the week progresses. In other words - a good old fashioned
March; nothing unusual, extreme, exceptional, or whatever the media may
wish to portray it as.

Do you think the old adage for March of 'In like a lion, out like a lamb' is
going to apply this year......

After what has been one of the most benign winters I have experienced, i.e.,
stormless, it looks like next week could see the windiest weather of the
autumn/winter/spring period.

Last year, after a calm, sunny and warm February there was a storm on the
10th of March which gave the windiest weather of the whole year. I recorded
gusts up to 60 mph on that day, which for this moderately sheltered,
low-lying Devon location, that was windy!
