Today's Telegraph managed to turn this into a front page piece that was
so exaggerated that even the Express might have thought twice about
running it. I've just searched for it on their website, but couldn't
find it. Maybe they saw sense and pulled it.

It's suggesting temperatures will definitely be well below average,
while the forecast says average or below, so quite a blatant
fabrication of the truth.
Seriously though, I do hope the long-running (12 months now) tendency
for temperatures below the average for the past 20 years does come to
an end sooner rather than later, I'm sure few would want another
summer like the last two. Let's hope all the cold in spring is
concentrated in March and early April, when it can still be
"interesting"...
