Countryfile is apparently moving to a new evening slot at 7pm

I've been watching the forecast since the mid 80's when it
was still the old 'Farming forecast' from the 'Farming' programme.
Sunday lunchtime just won't be the same again!

It just goes to show the state of the poor quality of programmes on
our airwaves that they have to move Countryfile - which is frequently
interesting - to an evening slot. Are they moving Highway to
lunchtimes?
Surely a move to a 'near peak' viewing time on a Sunday evening can't be all
that bad?

The Countryfile paradox is that the mid-day slot made perfect sense for
the times of year when one tends to chooses to be indoors then, but
ensures it wouldn't be much seen in summer. In a good year anyway. Could
make agreeable Sunday-evening viewing, I suppose. Again, for those of us
not still gardening or out for the evening by then. Have tended to only
watch it if at all for the forecast, and often to get that from IPlayer
later.
Now if the forecast could be published on IPlayer at, say, noon on
Sunday... great device, IPlayer, for minimising the amount of TV
actually watched.
