Yeovilton, Thorney Island and Shoreham -2.0°C, Middle
Wallop -2.2°C,
Benson and Brize Norton -2.3°C, Northolt -2.7°C, Charlwood -3.2°C,
Farnborough -3.7°C, Bournemouth (Hurn) -4.3°C.

.... this is the second time I've noticed that the Met Office have
deliberately or otherwise suppressed the Hurn minimum temperatu on
their 'extremes' web page for the UK ...

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...t_weather.html

then the South Farnborough value is shown, and on the SW page

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...t_weather.html

it's the Yeovilton value that is credited.

The Hurn minimum reported at 30/0600Z of -4.3°C is easily supported by
the hourly SYNOPs: the lowest such temperature was -4.1°C at 30/0500Z.
The Hurn minimum looks fine. We went down to -1.5°C, which given the
woeful exposure in our small back garden was jolly cold! Hurn would
have been at least a couple of degrees colder.
