Last night's high rainfall figures were not confined to Cornwall.
St. Mary's (Isles of Scilly) notched up a noteworthy 54mm in
11 hours ending 25/0200Z and I believe another 20mm or so
has fallen since, coming close to your total of 75mm, Graham.
Does anyone know of the average April rainfall at St. Mary's?
