Also managed to get to Shetland for a few days, and noticed a roadside
marker sign indicating you were at 60 deg north. Set me wondering if
there were similar signs elsewhere in the UK?
I see that the Lizard is just below 50 north, and I'm sure there'll be
lots in East Anglia marking the meridian. Or is Shetland unique?

I have lived in Cornwall, off and on, since 1978 and have driven down to
the Lizard on many occasions but I've never seen any signs indicating the
50th parallel.
