Default Flood frequency

Trendy geography this, even if I am unconvinced about its efficacy.

Does any one amongst the iluuminaries of the esteemed members of this
newsgroup have any links to articles and papers that may help me
stimulate and educate the *eager students at Bablake please?

I suppose you have to do this. It does sound a bit like
Victorian schoolmasters having to teach boys the dissipative effects
of self-abuse. The suggestions here of using Philip Eden's book are
good and may stimulate discussion and perhaps a degree of
scepticism. There's always a danger with this kind of subject of
people (almost certainly not in your school) knowing everything about
increased flood risk without actually knowing what causes rain, just
as newspaper editors are experts on climate change without knowing the
first thing about climate. Sorry not to be more helpful.
